Funeral services for Betty Jean Vann Esslinger, age 77 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Monday at 1:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery beside her husband Roy Thomas Esslinger Sr. Mrs. Esslinger passed away Friday morning at her residence.
A native of Madison County, Alabama, Mrs. Esslinger lived in Lincoln County for 20 years. Mrs. Esslinger was the daughter of the late Sallie Bounds Vann Woodward, was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Jamie Thomas of Fayetteville, son, Roy Thomas Esslinger, Jr. of Fayetteville, grandchildren, Melanie Thomas Lewis of Elkton, Jessica Thomas of Fayetteville, Christian Nicholas Esslinger of Huntsville, Stacey Ellen Esslinger Garcia of Harvest, sister, Shirley Ann Cothron of Huntsville and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
Several of us from the class of 1952, Huntsville High
