I am shocked by Betty’s death. I taught with Betty at Westlawn Middle School during 1990-1992. Since I was in Huntsville last week to attend my nephew’s high school graduation, I stayed with Sylvia Gullatt, another former Westlawn faculty member. Last Wednesday (May 22), I visited with Betty at Sylvia’s house and later the monthly Westlawn luncheon. It was so good to see Betty. Betty was a wonderful person with her commitment to kindness to others and her consistent giving spirit. I will miss her presence in our world.
In February, I lost my mother. Her loss and our loss continues to be a very difficult time of life. I wish healing and peace for all those who loved Betty- especially her family and close friends.

I am so shocked and sadden by the death of Mrs. Ivey. She is a friend of my neice Kim Vaughn and my mother. I had met Mrs. Ivey the first time at Kim’s home while she was watching the kids. She was a very sweet person. Throughout the years I have gone with Mother to church and was always greeted so kindly by Mrs. Ivey. I know my mother loved her and will miss her friend. The family as well as the church family are in my thoughts and prayers. She was and is a wonderful woman. God bless you all.
I am so saddened to learn of Mrs. Ivey’s passing. She has always been one of my favorite people from my banking days, to the softball field watching Holly play & to my present days at the public library. I will truly miss this precious lady. May God give you peace and comfort just knowing the mark she left on so many people.
Sending our deepest sympathy to all the Ivey family. Betty was such a good neighbor. She was the rock of the neighbor hood. We will miss her! We pray that your precious memories will bring comfort to each of you at this difficult time. The Billy Crabtree Family
Dear Cathy, I was so shocked and saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. She was always so delightful and such fun to be around. I remember what a good swim coach she was and the hours we spent at the pool. The picture with the horse is so appropriate. It must be one of your photos! May God give you wonderful memories. Love, Suzanne
