Funeral services for Bert Holman Whitehead, age 92, of Petersburg will be conducted Thursday at 11AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ellis Coats and Brian Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Wrights Cemetery. Mr. Whitehead passed away Monday night in Lincoln Care Center.

He was a native of Lincoln County, son of William Edward and Ora D Chapman Whitehead, and was a farmer, plumber/electrician and attended the Friendship Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 72 years Dorothy Ellis Whitehead of Petersburg, two sons Randy Whitehead of Petersburg, Gerry Whitehead of Cookeville and a daughter Denise Brooks of Collier- ville; grandchildren Scott Whitehead of Petersburg, Leta Bishop of Rogersville, AL, Bret Whitehead of Cookeville, TN, Sarah Whitehead of Nashville, TN, Jeffrey Brooks and Abby Brooks both of Collierville, TN; great-grandchildren Jonah Whitehead, Jessie Whitehead, Olivia Bishop, Noah Bishop and Makenzie Whitehead.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Friendship Church of Christ.
