Obituary

Funeral service for Anthony Todd Jones, age 54, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. David England and Grady Wright officiating. Burial will be at 2pm on Saturday at Short Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5pm until 8pm on Friday at Higgins.

Todd was born March 4, 1969, in Nashville, TN to the late Albert Sam and Linda King Jones. He was a graduate of Waverly High School and was of the Baptist faith. Todd worked as a heavy equipment operator for Wright Paving and was known as “The Roller Guy.” Never one to sit still, he was always working and loved to mow grass and detail vehicles. Todd passed away May 23, 2023, at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, TN.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Trudy Jones; children, Dylan Jones (Katy Gold) of Smyrna, Tristan Jones of Atlanta, GA, Blake Jones of Fayetteville, and Shelby (Justin) Burchett of Gulf Shores, AL; grandson, Cohen Burchett; brother, Sam Jones; sister Abby (Keith) Bacey; and his Wright Paving Family, extended family members, and friends. Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sam and Linda King Jones; and his mother-in-law, Carol Brown.

    Todd was so full of fun and laughter even on his bad days, he was a happy go lucky person with a lot of love for his wife Trudy and family. I’m glad I had the pleasure of getting to know him and the family. He will always be in our hearts and so will the family. As we would always say GO VOLS!
