Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Glenn DuBois Templeton, age 81, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2PM Saturday at Washington Street church of Christ with Minister Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Templeton died Wednesday at Lincoln Medical Center.
She was a native of Rutherford County, TN and the daughter of the late William Hubert and Ada Reeves DuBois. Mrs. Templeton was a graduate of David Lipscomb College and graduated from George Peabody College in 1948. She was former agent with Lincoln County Home Demonstration and worked as registrar-at-large for the Lincoln County Elections Commission for 20 years. Mrs. Templeton taught at Boonshill, Central and Lincoln County High Schools for 25 years and retired with a total of 30 years of service. She was a member of the Washington Street church of Christ, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Delta Kappa Gamma and Retired Teacher?s Association. She served on the Highland Rim Regional Library Board, the Round Dozen Book Club, Historical Society, Genealogical Society and was a faithful donor for the American Red Cross.
Survivors include her husband Dick A. Templeton of Fayetteville, daughter Martha Ann Templeton Hodum of Germantown, TN, son Richard Templeton of Murfreesboro, TN, daughter Glenda Bryan of Cleveland, TN, grandchildren Mary Glenn Beck of Houston, TX, Rachel Hodum of Nashville, Andy Hodum of Kalamazoo, MI, Katie Lynn Templeton of Murfreesboro, Sara Beth Templeton of Murfreesboro, Dustin Bryan of Murfreesoro, Austin and Annie Bryan both of Cleveland, TN, two great grandchildren Parker and Lindsay Beck of Houston, TX.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 from noon until time of service at Washington Street church of Christ. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203 or the American Heart Fund, 1818 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
