Allene Marie Thompson, 82, of Fayetteville, died Sunday morning (December 5, 2010) at Lincoln Medical Center. She was retired from Olan Mills Studios. The daughter of Judge Horton Kelley and Ida Adams Kelley, she was a native of Limestone County, Alabama. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Sidney Hall and Charles R. “Buster”Thompson, and her brother Curtis “Bud” Kelley and sister Reba Wood. Survivors include: children Judy (Hall) Staggs of Fayetteville; Dan Hall and wife Penny of Murfreesboro; Martin Hall and wife Brenda of Lynchburg and Rick Hall and wife Pattie of Knoxville; grandchildren Kimberley Smith-Vedrani and Trae Smith; Jim and John Hall; Zack Hall and Jessica Hall; and four great grandchildren.
Marie was always known for her compassion and kindness shown to all, people and animals alike.
Her funeral services will be conducted at Higgins Funeral Home at 12 PM on Tuesday with Bro. Winfred Stayton officiating. Her burial will be followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Monday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
