Funeral services for Edna Arline Barham Young, age 69 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday at 1 pm at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Will Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mrs. Young passed away Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Care Center.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Avon Dyer and Martha Arline Barham. She was a 1962 graduate of Central High School, received her BS Degree from Memphis State in 1966 and her Masters Degree from MTSU. She retired in 1997 as Librarian of Lincoln County High School. After her retirement, Mrs. Young worked with an Educational Consultant Firm with the State of Tennessee for schools in Middle Tennessee.
Survivors include her husband Doug Young of Fayetteville, son Brandon Young and wife Jessica of Atlanta and a granddaughter Harper.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 11 am till time of service at 1pm at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
