To Joe and Dennis: I wish I could tell you all the tales of growing up with my younger brother, Vincent. We walked to school together as soon as he was old enough to walk to school. Before that, I think that Daddy drove us all (that was a real riot with 5 of us in the car!). He was always following his own bent and did not just join the crowd. He was still in high school when I married and left home. I remember how excited he was when he met his first nephew, Chris. The last time two times we got together, in Fayetteville, he was so happy about the grandkids, the fact that both of you worked on the hay, that he got to be so close to both of you. The last time I saw you two both was when Nate graduated from High School (boy, that’s awhile). We were so glad to see all 3 of you together. Now he is with Kathie and you two have each other and your own families to love. Thank you for making his life so full and rich.
For those who don’t know, Vince was a high ranking Army Procurement executive both in St. Louis and Huntsville. He was not only my boss for a while but also an extremely intelligent, kind, compassionate, witty, and great leader. I will miss him.
My Thompson was an extraordinary civil servant who was highly knowledgeable in his contracting profession. His service with ACC-Redstone was remarkable as he served his nation with dignity and grace. He was always there to lend a hand, easy to talk to and above all I enjoyed his light hearted soul. I pray for comfort for the family. Rest in peace.
Joe and Dennis,
We are so sorry for your loss. We are extremely grateful and appreciative of everything your family has done for us by supplying us with hay for our cows. We will definitely miss the interaction with Vince when we would come by and get the hay. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Please reach out to us if you need anything.
Your neighbors,
Mark and Cortney Hoffman

Dear brother your life has been good for so many of us, especially your family. I have wonderful memories of my little brother who helped me so much since he could drive a car and I could not when we were young. I remember how smart you were from a young age and your love of books, you always were an enthusiastic reader and a bright student. Later I appreciated how you and Kathy welcomed me into your home during my cross-country drives. It was a joy to see Joe and Dennis and share in your family activities. Now you are at peace, your suffering is over and we have lovely memories of all you gave us. Love, forever, your sister Michele. .
