Graveside funeral service for Terry Douglas Edwards, age 83, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens, in the Veterans Garden of Honor.  There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Terry was born on September 9, 1938, in New Market, AL to the late Douglas Edwards and Lizzie May Sharp Edwards. He coached basketball and baseball for many years with Highland Rim, South Lincoln, and Lincoln County High School. Mr. Edwards loved watching his grandchildren play ball, and he was a Chicago Cubs Fan.  Terry passed away on February 25, 2022, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Graves Edwards; children, Lynn Edwards Demoll of Winchester, Kim Edwards of Fayetteville, Christine (Jim) Dye of Fayetteville, Bonnie (Jim) Amenboula of Texas, and Douglas Edwards (girlfriend, Westa Morrison) of Athens, AL; grandchildren, Joshua Raby, Jessica Raby, Gus Raby, Chris (Vesica) Kleeman, Matt (Katie) Edwards, Tim (Sarah) Schultz, Stephanie (Jack) Mahr, Leighann Edwards (Omar) Garcia, Aimee Shelton (Justin) Finks, Michelle Shelton, Caleb Dye, Emma Dye, Jessica (Bryan) Dykes, Joshua Raby, Gus Raby, and Kristi Raby; and great-grandchildren, Miya Shelton, Nolan Edwards, Avery Smith, Walker Edwards, Aidriana Schultz, Rebekah Barnes, Ryan Barnes, Lucia Garcia, Saddie Garcia, Acelynn Dykes, Able Dykes, Sofie Raby, Luca Raby, Joxon Raby, Skylar Raby, Lane Raby, and Kree Jones. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Rosenbloom.

    I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Edwards passing! He was such an awesome mentor to so many young lives during his time here on earth. I am so honored to have had the opportunity to coach Matt and the opportunity to call this sweet man my friend. He loved all his grandchildren and these are very special memories I have , to have been able to see and visit with him when he was there watching them. He was very special to so many. Prayers for all the family!
