Graveside services for Rodna Mae Archer Edwards, age 66, of Shelbyville will be conducted Wednesday at 12:30PM at Talley Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge. Ms. Edwards passed away Sunday September 12, 2010 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

She was a native of Summerville, SC and daughter of the late Charles A. and Beatrice V. Racey Archer. Ms. Edwards was from Petersburg and grew up in Catalpa area and attended Petersburg Elementary School and Petersburg High School.  She was a homemaker and attended Outreach Ministry.

Survivors include step-mother Gladys Archer of Toney, AL, three daughters Elizabeth Marlene Skeens of Ohio, Sharon Helene Edwards of Murfreesboro and Carol Diane Edwards of Smyrna, grandchildren Brandon, Trey and Isaiah, brothers William A. Archer and wife Jimmie of TX, Alan Keith Shields and wife Susan of Knoxville, Pat Archer and wife Mary of Jacksonville, FL, and sisters Barbara Henry and husband Bill of Virginia and Debra Lagrone of Toney, AL.   Ms. Edwards was preceded in death by daughter Crystal Diane Cole and a brother Charles Rodney Archer.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 11AM-12PM at Higgins Funeral Home and will rest in Talley Cemetery.
