Pat was born on July 15, 1956, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. A woman of service and ambition, she joined the United States Navy after graduation and later earned her bachelor’s degree from Wilmington College. Following her honorable discharge from the Navy, Pat began a dedicated career that included time at Mac Tools—where she met her husband, Danny—as well as ABX Air and DHL Express, from which she eventually retired.
Pat married Danny Blanton on November 15, 1980. After retirement, they moved to Tennessee to enjoy their years together. They shared a love for the outdoors, especially traveling, hiking, and camping in the mountains. Pat was also a gifted seamstress who found great joy in sewing, quilting, and embroidery. Above all else, Pat loved her family dearly and took immense pride in being Grandma Pat.
Survivors include her children, Trevor Blanton of Independence, KY, Kelli Jo (Larry) Garrison of Martinsville, OH, and Jessi Lynn Blanton of Hillsboro, OH; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Pat is also survived by her siblings, Phil (Christy) Hardwick, Dee Ludwig, Allen Douglas (Lynette) Hardwick, and Mary (Todd) Sharp, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Dale Patman Hardwick and Shirley Powell Hardwick; her daughter, Emily Liedtke; her son, Billy James Blanton; and her brother, Dave Hardwick.
