Margaret “Margie Elizabeth Bohannon, age 64, of Fayetteville, TN passed into everlasting life with God, August 27, 2017, after a short illness. She was a saved Baptist by faith.
Margie was born January 21, 1953 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Daniel and Margaret Webster. She attended Northwestern State University in Louisiana where she studied math and physics. Margie married her life time love, Ernest “Ernie” Bohannon, April 12, 1980 wearing a wedding dress she designed and made. They lived in Louisiana and Florida before moving to Fayetteville, Tn in October 2000. Margie was extremely talented and had many interests. She enjoyed photography, fishing, antiques and collectibles, and arts and crafts including making jewelry, rugs, drawing, and painting. Margie studied with nationally known tole painter, Priscilla Hauser, and belonged to the National Society of Tole and Decorative Painting. Margie loved bluegrass music and played the banjo, guitar and harmonica. Upon learning she was diabetic, Margie became a self-taught expert who then taught informational classes and conducted an online diabetic support group which encouraged and educated countless people.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Ernie; brother, Daniel (Rita) Webster of Decatur, AL; and three nephews, Justin Webster of Las Alamos, NM, Phillip Webster of Athens, AL, and Evan (Miranda) Webster of Orillia, Ontario, Canada.
A private memorial service was held prior to cremation. Margie’s remains were returned to her husband until such future time when his remains may join hers forever.
