Layman Rashad Foster was born on November 8^th, 1992 in Lincoln County, TN to Camilla Wright and Layman Foster. He departed from this life at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, October 12^th, 2011 at 6:20pm. He was 18.

Rashad was an inspiration to the lives of everyone he met. He was a fighter who possessed a quiet demeanor, and was a shining light in this world. Although he accepted Christ September 12^th, 2011, after he became ill, he was always in God’s house each Sunday when he was at home.

Rashad was preceded in death by his grandmother Mary Sue Ashby Wright, grandparents Albert and Elizabeth Foster, and great-grandmothers Cleo Ashby and Sally Frances Wright.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Camilla Wright of Fayetteville, TN, father Layman Foster of Pulaski, TN, brothers Trey Hawkins and Hazzard D. Miller, Jr. of Fayetteville, TN, uncles Chris Wright (Gail) and Albert Foster both of Pulaski, TN, aunts Carletta (Conridge) of Carrolton, Ga and Melissa Foster of Pulaski, TN, grandparent Walter (Mary) Wright of Fayetteville, TN, three devoted friends who were always there Subrenia Newsome, Jackie Taylor, and Melissa Walker.

Good friends Brian Minter, Octavious Wilson, Rickey Howard, Jr., Richard March, Cainan Johnson, Alex and Adrian Allen, Demetrius Bryson and many more Rashad loved. His very special first cousins Jasmine Reynolda, Quon Reynolds and Cadisha Wright of Pulaski, TN, Carion and Kadence Pattello of Carrollton, GA, as well as several devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his extended family: the 5^th and 6^th floor nurses at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 3 until 6 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
