Graveside service for Katie Sue Ables Williams, age 91 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Prospect Cemetery beside her husband Paul Williams Jr with Dr. Ronnie Gay officiating. Mrs. Williams passed away Sunday at Lincoln Medical Center.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late James “Bud” and Mable Harbin Ables, was a homemaker and a member of the Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons Phillip and Barry Williams, one daughter Wanda Sue Taylor, six grandchildren, Kent Buckmaster, Jami Collins, Brad Buckmaster, Jeffery Buckmaster, Brandi Satterfield, and Mandi Clark, six great-grandchildren, Cory Cantrell, Cody Cantrell, Natalie Satterfield, Gavin Clark, Lydia Satterfield and Lily Cate Clark, one sister Magalene Edwards, two special nieces Patsy Ivey and Martha Bogle and special friend Kathy Allred. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Williams, Jr., one daughter Rebecca Buckmaster and
son-in-law Bob Taylor.
Mrs. Williams family would like to say ‘THANK YOU’ to Dr. Cobb and his Staff, the Lincoln Medical Center and the Staff at the Fayetteville Care and Rehabilitation Center for special care provided to our loved one.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Health System Foundation, Fayetteville Lincoln County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.

Ms. Katie will surely be missed. She was such a sweet person, and I am so blessed I had the opportunity to get to know her. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
