Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Daves Gowan, age 81, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Smith and Rev. Richard Hughes officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.  Mrs. Gowan passed away Friday night at her residence.

A daughter of the late John Carl and Nell Turney Daves, she was a native of Lincoln County, a member of the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years Billy Joe Gowan, daughter Gloria Hall and husband Bobby, granddaughter Kim McWhirter and husband Steve, and great-granddaughters Katie and Jessica McWhirter, all of Fayetteville.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Monday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
