Funeral services for Mr. James E. Tipton, age 94 of Elora, will be conducted Tuesday morning at 10 AM in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery beside his wife of 70 years Ina Stone Tipton who passed away on May 26, 2011. Mr. Tipton passed away Sunday morning at Huntsville Hospital.

He was a native of Lincoln County and was the son of the late Linzy Corbin and Rose Isbell Tipton. He was a farmer and worked for MM Delap & Sons. He was a veteran of the US Army and Navy serving in WWII and was a member of the Donalson Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters Judy Robinson and husband Glenn of Flintville, CathyThornton and husband Wayne of Flintville, sons Lyle Tipton and wife Martha of Fayetteville, Keith Tipton of Elora, sister Geneva Anderson of Tullahoma, TN, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.

Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
