Funeral services for Mr. James Clayton (Buddy) Brooks, age 74 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday at 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Smith and Bro. James Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart’s Cemetery. Mr. Brooks passed away Thursday evening at Lincoln Medical Center.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late James Erby and Clyda Mae Martin Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a retired dairy farmer and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Molino Church of Christ where he had served as an elder.
Survivors include his wife Jean Sisk Brooks, sons Eddie Brooks and wife Robbie and Ronnie Brooks of Fayetteville, daughters Lisa Reese and husband Kerry and Amy Wilkerson of Fayetteville, grandchildren Ashley Brooks Price and husband Eric, Charles Brooks, Morgan Vick and husband Aaron, Chelsey Bobo and husband Zack, and Clayton Wilkerson, great-grandchildren Peerless and Rylin Price, sisters Willow Dean Meeks, Sue Sapack, both of Fayetteville and one brother John Douglas Brooks of Wheel, TN. Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his sister Nina Griffin.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Molino Church of Christ
