Graveside service for Grady Marshall Reavis, age 83, of Petersburg, TN, will be held at 9 AM on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Old Orchard Cemetery with Bro. Don Hudson and Bro. Ley Jean officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Grady was born on April 25, 1940, in Lincoln County, TN, to the late Grady Wilson Reavis and Evelyn Soloman Coble. He was a member of the Howell Church of Christ and served his community for 16 years as a Lincoln County Commissioner as well as president/chairman of the Petersburg Senior Citizens. Grady was also member of the Fayetteville Elks Lodge 1792 for 39 years. Mr. Reavis owned and operated Fayetteville Rock Company and Reavis Construction Company. He built many bridges throughout Southern Middle Tennessee. Grady passed away on August 25, 2023, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Mable Lorene Farler Reavis; daughter, Vickie (Kenny) Hargrove; sons, Michael “Dude” (Linda) Reavis, and Stephen (Jessica) Reavis; grandchildren, Kazz (Bri) Hargrove, Kody Hargrove, Tori Reavis, Tyler Reavis, Lane Reavis, Maddie Reavis, and Katie Pardon; great-grandchildren, Raylee Hargrove, Tyley Reavis, Milo Hargrove, and Huck Hargrove; sisters, Aletha (Terry) Crabtree, and Juanita Bills; sister-in-law, Brenda Reavis; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Grady was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Reavis; and brother-in-law, Charlie Bills.
