Obituary

Funeral services for Frances L. Daniel Slayton, age 76 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Monday at 11a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery beside her husband Bob “Dock” Slayton who passed away in 2008. Mrs. Slayton passed away Thursday night in Vanderbilt Medical Center.

A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. Slayton was the daughter of the late Herman “Hawk” and Velna Scott Daniel, was retired from Blue Ridge Manufacturing and a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters Diane Hall and husband Tommy of Fayetteville, Lisa Williams and husband Jack of Fayetteville, grandchildren Nikki Flynt,Michelle Blair, Candice Kennard, Cortney McCormick, step-grandchildren Lori, Jolley, Andrew Williams, Megan Williams, three great grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, brother Nathan Daniel of Fayetteville and sister Dorothy Mason of Huntland. She was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Bradford and a brother James
Ray Daniel.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
