Obituary

Cody Austin Boyd, beloved son, brother, and father, passed away February 5, 2026, at the age of 38. He was born on February 28, 1987, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Frank Austin Boyd, Jr., and Donna England Boyd Phillips, who survives.

Cody had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He found peace and happiness outdoors, whether hiking, playing disc golf, or simply spending time in nature. He dearly loved animals, especially cats and dogs, and was known for his intelligence and thoughtful nature.

Above all, Cody loved his son, Oren, and cherished every moment he was able to spend with him. Their bond was special, and his love for his son was the greatest joy of his life.

He is survived by his mother, Donna England Phillips; his son, Oren Boyd, and Oren’s mother, Jamie Boyd; and his sister, Carlee Holmes and husband, Dustin.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at 1 PM on February 28, 2026, at Keith Springs Baptist Church, 1055 Keith Springs Mountain Rd, Belvidere, TN 37306.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Cody Austin Boyd.

Cody was one of a kind! Very smart! I use to learn new words hanging around him. He loved his music and introduced older artists to me. He loved playing his guitar that is for sure. I graduated highschool with him and we became great friends afterward. I pray for the family. He was loved by many! I will miss my friend!
