Charles “Charlie” Anthony Dorning, 64, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 10, 1961, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to Jerry and Karen Mason Dorning.
Charlie was a dedicated professional, holding distinctions as a Charter Financial Analyst (CFA), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA). He was also a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
Charlie is survived by his children, Joseph Whitsett Dorning, partner, Reilly Watson, Christina Dorning (Matthew) Quick, and Mason Lane Dorning, and their mother, Vickie Dorning; grandchildren, Boston, Conley, and Banner Quick; and his brothers, Steven (Janet) Dorning and Jeffrey (Shirley) Dorning, as well as his parents, Jerry and Karen Dorning; and his partner, Pam Fann. Charlie was preceded in death by his nephew, Robert Louis Dorning.
Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Dorning officiating. A brief committal service will follow at Prospect Cemetery.

My prayers are with the Family for their loss. I went to Boonshill School with Charlie, Steve and Jeff, and played basketball with Charlie and Steve. Those were some Great memories. Very sorry of the untimely death of the son Charlie Dorning of my cousin Jerry Dorning. Jerry can always know that Charlie had great parents to be there for him.
