Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Sams Merrell, age 76, of Fayetteville will be conducted Sunday at 2:30pm at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. James E. Rolison officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Merrell passed away Friday morning in Harton Hospital in Tullahoma.

She was a native of Hickman, KY and the daughter of the late Pearl Brewer Sams. Mrs. Merrell was a former employee of Serbin Fashions and a member of the Park City Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband J D Merrell of Fayetteville, daughter Jan Smith and husband Jim of Fayetteville and Jenny Smith of Fayetteville, grandchildren Justin Harwell, Jason Smith and wife Jennifer and Jessica Smith all of Fayetteville and Jamie Cobb and husband David of Tullahoma, two great grandchildren Aubrynn Cobb and Jacob Smith, three sisters Ruth Bondurant of Unity City, TN, Barbara Byars of Union City, TN, Faye King of Dannemorra, NY, and two brothers Jimmy Brewer of Union, TN and Tommy Brewer of Dannemorra, NY.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
