It is with regret we announce the passing of Betty Ann Smith Hopper, age 89, of Fayetteville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Huntsville Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 5 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Higgins.

Betty was born October 19, 1932, in Alabama. She did clerical work for many years at Fox Army Hospital in Huntsville. Betty enjoyed spending her time sewing and quilting. She passed away January 17, 2022, at her residence.

Survivors include her children, Ed (Laure) Hopper, Susan Hopper, and Mike (Pam) Hopper; stepson, Dennis Hopper; and several beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellie Smith; husband, Edsel F. Hopper; and grandsons, Robert Michael Hopper and Christopher Brent Hopper.
