Mr. Cashion was born June 15, 1935, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Curtis and Bessie Lee Pitts Cashion. He began working at a very young age and remained active for most of his 89 years. Archie’s work life included Elk Cotton Mill, odd jobs working for the County, and driving a school bus. He also mowed yards, hauled trash, and tended graves for Lincoln Cemetery. Never wanting to sit still, Archie loved going to yard sales and trading. He was generous, enjoyed going out to eat, and always enjoyed having company. Archie’s greatest love was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and got a kick out of aggravating them. Archie passed away July 12, 2024, at Donalson Care Center with his family by his side.

Survivors include his daughter, Tami Holt and husband Britt of Kelso; son-in-law, Ricky Bryant of Flintville; grandchildren, Breand (Daniel) Mitchell, Amber (Stephen) Lindsey, April Holt, Melanie McAlister, Brandon (Amanda) Bryant; great-grandchildren, Destini Jensen, Kenzi Holt, Kelci Mitchell, Reagan Mitchell, Emmi Lindsey, and Andi Lindsey; sister-in-law, Flora Cashion; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents Archie was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jeanette Caldwell Cashion; daughter, Cynthia Dawn Bryant; granddaughter, Valorie Lynn Holt; brother, Curtis Hilton Cashion; half-brothers, Hosea “Junior” Prince, Wilson Shelton, Raymond Shelton; and half-sisters, Addie Lee Prince, Ozille Street, and Omae May.
