Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Lindell Ray Flynn, age 72, of Old Hickory, TN will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville, TN with Bro. Terrell Bain officiating. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Monday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Ray was born on December 28, 1947 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Henry Clay and Annie Lou Bates Flynn. He worked as a engineer designer for Lochinvar and was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time with his family. Mr. Flynn passed away on October 9, 2020 at TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Sue Bain Flynn; daughter, Tracy (Rick) Gillingham of Ashland City, TN; son, Kevin (Amanda) Flynn of Gordonsville, TN; grandchildren, Trey Gillingham, Joy Gillingham, Caleb Gillingham, Zoe Gillingham, Thomas Flynn, Katie Flynn, and Luci Flynn.

    So sorry to learn of Ray’s passing. I remeber his parents well. Clay and Annie “raised” me as a teen working for CFW Construction Co. I remember Ray very well as a good young boy/man. Our sympathy to you and your family.
