Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Dixon Logan, age 84, of Lynchburg will be conducted at 11AM Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Logan officiating. Burial will follow in Booneville Cemetery. Mr. Logan went to be with the Lord Wednesday at his residence. He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late Bill and Mary Crockett Logan. Mr. Logan served in the U. S. Army during WW II, worked for many years with Avalon Dairies, retired from Jack Daniel Distillery and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Christabel Ingle Logan of Lynchburg, two sons, John D. Logan and wife Rose of Flat Creek, TN, and Dan Logan and wife Deborah of Lynchburg, five sisters Nancy Holman of Crossville, Virginia McClellan and Dot Sanders both of Hermitage, Margie Shelton and Betty Thornberry both of Florida, and one brother Wayland Logan of Lynchburg, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Camp Joy Building Fund c/o Billy Taylor, 10903 Chestnut Ridge Road, Lynchburg, TN 37352 or Booneville Community Center, c/o Linda Ingle, 17 Booneville Church Rd, Fayetteville, TN. 37334 Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
