Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Sharp Simmons, age 80, of Elora will be conducted Wednesday at 11AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Elder Harlis Hale and Elder Lloyd Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery beside her husband Selna O. Simmons. Mrs. Simmons passed away Sunday October 24^th at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Clara Mae Hudson Sharp. Mrs. Simmons was retired Post Master and a member of the Mountain Fork Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter Anita Jackson of Elora, sons Larry O. Simmons of Elora and Roger W. Simmons of Lynchburg, brothers Leon Sharp of McMinnville, TN, Joe Sharp of Dayton, TN, and R. A. Sharp of Chattanooga, TN, sisters: Gertrude Ogle of Chattanooga, TN, Louise Barnes of Dayton, TN and Velma Wright of Vantown, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Wilfred Sharp, Carl Sharp, Marion Sharp, Lloyd Sharp, Lois Ogle, Hazel Edwards, Wilma Williams and Mary Frances Sharp.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
