Iris Sheree Parks Byrd, age 70, passed away on September 11, 2026. She was born on June 14, 1956, in Birmingham, AL, to the late Thomas Bentley Parks and Iris Johnston Parks.

Sheree worked as a dedicated dispatcher for Tyson Foods in Estill Springs, TN, for well over 30 years, serving faithfully since 1988. She truly loved her job and could never quite bring herself to retire; admittedly a bit of a workaholic who took great pride in her daily work.

Outgoing and full of life, Sheree never met a stranger. She was a content person who lived simply and never asked for much, finding her greatest joy in the people around her. Above all, Sheree was a devoted mother who loved her children deeply and cared for her family with all her heart.

Survivors include her son, Heath (Rhonda) Pass; her daughter, Mary (Phillip) Sanders; her brothers, Tommy Parks and Glenn Parks; and several beloved step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro, AL on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 11 AM.
