A memorial service for John David Harper, III, age 65, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Fayetteville First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bruce McVey officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning one hour prior to the service.

Born on July 31, 1960, in Huntsville, AL, John was the son of the late John David Harper, Jr. and Carolyn Cooper Harper. A man of remarkable intellect, John balanced a career as a machine programmer at Dixie Metal Craft with a deep-seated talent for computer programming. His brilliant mind contributed to the development of long-range military defense systems, leaving a lasting legacy of service through his technical expertise.

John passed away peacefully at his residence on April 4, 2026. He was a faithful member of the Fayetteville First Presbyterian Church and will be remembered for his sharp mind and kind spirit.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Sonia Harper; stepdaughter, Rachael Little; grandson, Jake Little; sister, Teresa Cissel; brother, Daniel Harper; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
