Eugene “Gene” Lee Robinson, age 80, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at HH Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, AL. Born on December 13, 1945, in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of the late Cecil Leroy and Adeline Ann Ellison Robinson.
Gene was a man who found beauty in the world, both through the lens of his camera and the peace of the Great Outdoors. A professional photographer by trade, he carried his passion into retirement, never losing his eye for a great shot. When he wasn’t behind a camera, Gene could be found on the golf course, fly fishing, or in the field hunting with his beloved bird dogs—a pastime he cherished sharing with his daughter, Deborah.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and 60 years of beautiful marriage to his wife, Kathleen Walther Robinson. He is also survived by his daughter, Deborah (Karl) Kessler of Arkadelphia, AR; and his two grandchildren, William and Tessa Kessler. Gene was preceded in death by his brother, Dwight Leroy Robinson, and his sister, Barbara Ann Marklin.
Inurnment will take place at a later date in Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana.
