It is with sorrow we announce the passing of Doris Gentry Smith, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, who went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born on April 3, 1943, in Gordonsville, TN, to the late Hayden Evans Gentry and Eva Dee Bennett Graves. She was a faithful follower of Christ, a member of the McBurg United Methodist Church, and a devoted homemaker, wife and mother. Doris will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Dr. Christopher K. Smith, in Riverview Cemetery in Clarksville, TN.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Lisa D.S. Gillen and her husband Jim of Fayetteville, and her granddaughter, Savannah S. Gillen.

A private inurnment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.
