Wilma May Towry

Funeral service for Mrs. Wilma May Towry, age 82, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow next to her husband, Willie C. Towry, in Lincoln Cemetery.

Mrs. Towry was born on December 21, 1935 in Lincoln County, TN to the late John Milton and Annie Koonce May. She was a member of the Parks City Baptist Church and a retired seamstress from the Lee Company. She passed away on February 22, 2018 at St. Thomas West.

Survivors include her children Jack (Pat) Towry of Fayetteville, Brenda (Marty) Harrity of Sanibell, FL, JoAnn (Larry) Haynes and Jeff Towry both of Fayetteville; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and sisters, Doris Decker and Linda Wimberley. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmie Towry; sister, Ozell Wilkerson; and brother, Carlton May.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Towry.

Sorry to hear of Wilma’s death. I know her family will miss her but such a blessing to know she is in heaven with Jesus.

I’d like to express my deepest sympathy to the family. The Bible gives us much comfort during times like these. Acts 24:15 says, “There is going to be a resurrection.” God is the Creator of life, and He yearns to bring back those who are in his memory.

Our farm backed up to theirs great folks, went to school with Joann Brenda and Jeff. Great neighbors. I know she will be sadly missed by all. God bless the family
