Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Jean Simmons McCormick, age 82, of Fayetteville will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. John Hinson and Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery beside her husband Lee Roy McCormick who passed away in 2001. Mrs. McCormick passed away Sunday morning at her residence.
She was a native of Lincoln County and daughter of the late John T. and Effie Mae Thompson Simmons. Mrs. McCormick was a former employee of Kuhn’s, Hillcrest School and Big K. She was a homemaker and a member of the Howell Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters Melba Mann, Barbara Seals and husband Tommy, Shanna Mann and husband Eddie, two sons John McCormick and wife Cindy and Ronnie McCormick and wife Dorothy all of Fayetteville, eleven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Monday evening 5-8PM at Higgins
Funeral Home.
