Funeral services for Mr. Willie Ray Mitchell, age 63, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. David Durham officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell passed away Thursday morning October 30 at his residence.
He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late Jack Mitchell and Ruby Bradford Mitchell who survives. Mrs. Mitchell was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a truck driver and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his mother include a son Keith Mitchell of Fayetteville, two daughters Susan Mitchell and Rosemary Mitchell Tankersly both of Fayetteville, a loving aunt, Patsy Brewer of Fayetteville, special friends Wanda Powell, Mark Lard, Troy Sullens, Gerald Todd, Rex Campbell, Larry Campbell, Sarah Sims, Vincent Hawkins, Paulette Evans (Brown) and Ken Gault, four grandson Jordan Smartt, Nick Woodard, Spencer Gault and Blaze Tankersley and one granddaughter Kendrea Gault.
Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
