Funeral services for William Randall “Runt” Posey, age 63 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Willard Medley and Kerry Pruett officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Flintville, TN. Mr. Posey passed away Wednesday September 10, 2014 at his residence.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late William and Nannie Sims Posey. Mr. Posey served in Vietnam and Desert Storm during his 22 years of service in the U. S. Marine Corps, and was a truck driver for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his wife Pam Woods Posey of Fayetteville, daughter Kimberly (Chris) of Atlanta, GA, son J.R. (Andra) of Fayetteville, granddaughters Morgan McDonald and Reese McDonald, step-granddaughters Justise Harris, Taijha Green and Araya Green, brother Beverly (Della) Posey of Hazel Green, AL, sister Patsy (Roger) Singleton of Fayetteville and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Posey was preceded in death by his grandson Kobe McDonald, parents William and Nannie Sims Posey and brother Stanley Posey.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
