I worked with Bill and Sonya in 1975-76 in Fayetteville at Allied Appraisal Co. (I left in spring ’76 to have a baby.) Y’all were such a nice couple and David and I extend our deepest condolences and warmest thoughts and prayers in your bereavement.

Deepest sympathy to all of you! Bill was a good man, good friend and great teacher. We worked many years together in Panola County. The employees of the TA office in Batesville were like family, including Bill. He was the most knowledgeable person I have ever met and he was well respected among our community. However, Bill was an instigator. He loved to get a good argument started, for fun, and leave the room laughing at the confusion he created. He was always up to a good prank. Bill will be deeply missed!!!

Sonya, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss. Billy was a great guy! He spent many a fun-filled day on Tims Ford Lake with our gang when I bought my first boat. Everybody would chip in a dollar for gas and we’d ride all day long! Please know you have my deepest sympathy.

Billy was a close friend while we were growing up at Boonshill High. I always enjoyed being with him and our close buddies. Family and the farm was very important, especially in the past few years. My sympathy goes to you in your loss. Love, Rexine

Bill hired me in the TA office in Panola County, Ms., 30 years ago. He was a wonderful person to work with. He was always so easygoing and very seldom lost his cool –BUT– when he did, stay out of his way for a short while. It never lasted long. Gaeba Gray hit the nail on the head about Bill being an instigator. He loved it. He would get something started and then take off. After a little while, he would come back and laugh about it all. Bill will really be missed. We all loved him dearly.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Bill at the TA in Panola County for the past year and half. It was only a short time, but I must say it was truly a blessing. Mr. Bill taught me so much in such a short time, but most of all ALWAYS have faith in yourself and there is nothing that you can’t do! I will miss him telling his jokes laughing sitting behind me in his chair. But most of all his advice. And that is something I will miss the most. I loved Mr. Bill, but I know that he would be looking down, telling his jokes, and laughing.

He hired me 29 years ago. He was the most knowledgeable and most patient man I knew. He had to be to teach me appraisal, and he gave an old farm boy a way to make a living. With admiration, he will be missed.
