William Lee Jacobs

Memorial services for William Lee Jacobs, age 83 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Smith officiating. Burial will be in New Grove Cemetery. Mr. Jacobs passed away Friday morning in Donalson Care Center.

He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late Frank Vance and Mary Sue Noah Jacobs. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, former truck driver for Genesco and Lincoln Farmer’s Co-op and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Thanna Bevels Marshall Jacobs of Fayetteville, son Edward and Suzy Jacobs of Saltillo, MS, son Tony Jacobs of Gurley, AL, step-daughter Julie Smith of Cumming, GA, step-son David Marshall of Cumming, GA, granddaughter Hannah Jacobs of Knoxville, TN, step-granddaughters Stephanie and Jessie Smith both of Cumming, GA, sisters Nancy Hudson of Fayetteville, Judy Manning of Clarksville, TN, Lanelle Pennington of Brookville, IN, Ann Dabbs of Murfreesboro, TN, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until time of services at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
