Funeral services for William Jennings Bradford, age 88 of Taft, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Barnes Cemetery. Mr. Bradford passed away Tuesday at his residence.
A native of Taft, Mr. Bradford was the son of the late Orbie and Ozelle Heathcutt Bradford. He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Navy and a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Sara Smith Bradford of Taft, three daughters, Betty Jean (Dr. Burton) McGee, Patricia Sue Vines both of Meridianville, AL, and Brenda Jane Bradford of Huntsville, AL, son-in-law George Joseph Klein III, grandchildren George Joseph Klein IV, William Bradford Klein, Mary Katherine McGee Barras, Captain Bradford Jennings McGee and Kyle Wesley Vines, eight great-grandchildren, brothers John Bradford and Bill Dollar, sister-in-law Brenda Faye Bradford and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bradford was preceded in death by a daughter Catherine Ann Klein, brothers Jerry and Frankie Bradford and sisters Peggy Holt, Alene Beech, Geneva Renegar, Rachel Black and Judith Troop.
Visitation with the family will be Friday from 12PM until 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
