William ” Bill” Dale Ferguson

Graveside funeral service for Mr. William Dale Ferguson, age 83 of Winchester, TN, formerly of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 9th at Lincoln Cemetery with Bro. Tommy Howell officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

William was born on February 26, 1937 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Ed and Ellen Jones Ferguson. He served in the U.S. Air Force. After his military service, he worked for Woody Anderson Ford for over 40 years as the manager. Mr. Ferguson passed away on July 6, 2020 at Franklin Manor in Winchester, TN.

Survivors include his son, Greg (Pennie) Ferguson of Winchester; daughter, Amelia Brooks of Gulf Shores, AL; brother, Bobby Ferguson of Athens, AL; and grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Ward of Huntsville, AL, Katrina (Steven) LeCroix of Athens, AL, Jodie Campbell of McMinnville, and Jessie (Chris) Foster, of Cowan; and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Ferguson; daughter, Mary Lisa Zendler; and brother, Jacky Ferguson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

In accordance with State of Tennessee Executive Order issued by Governor Bill Lee, social gatherings are limited to no more than 50 participants. So very sorry to recently learn of Billy’s death. I knew him when we were in high school at Blanche, TN. We were distant cousins on the Ferguson side. He was a very nice person.
