Graveside funeral service for Mr. William Thomas “Bill” Hensley, age 73, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Riverview Memorial Gardens with Bro. Wayne Hollingsworth officiating.
Bill was born on April 28, 1948 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Clifford Cotty and Mayme Lou Massey Hensley. He was drafted into the US Army and served in Vietnam. Mr. Hensley worked many roles in the construction industry and was able to fix anything. Bill was a member of the Church of Christ. He passed away on August 20, 2021.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Demars Hensley; children, Jody (Erin) Hensley of Murfreesboro, and Sheila Hensley of Winchester; step-children, Thomas (Tonya) Linnell, Angel (Kenneth) Kelley, Ralph (Angela) Linnell, and Edward Linnell; granddaughter, Cheyenne Evans; step-grandchildren, Lindsay Bowden, Allison Bowden, Dakota Linnell, Dezaray Linnell, Tiara Linnell, Britney Linnell and Cody Maddox; three step-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert C. “Bob” (Trenna) Hensley; and a sister, Patricia “Pat” Hardison.
Visitation with the family will be from 2 PM until 4 PM on Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home. The family kindly request attendees to wear masks at the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
