Wiley Andrew Bolander

Funeral service for Mr. Wiley Andrew Bolander, age 82, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Erwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Blanche Cemetery.

Wiley was born on May 13, 1936 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Johnnie Andrew and Mary Suvilla Turner Bolander. He was a member of the West Fayetteville Church of Christ and a retired engineer from Lockheed Martin. Mr. Bolander passed away on December 15, 2018 at Lincoln Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Norma R. Bolander; son, Andrew Doyle Bolander and wife Marlene of Hazel Green, AL; daughter, Katera Renee Bolander of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Paige Bolander, Chloe Hallars, Ethan Bolander, and Jimmy Hallars; brothers, Thomas Bolander and wife Bettie of Alcoa, TN, and Philip Bolander and wife Josephine of Petersburg, TN; and nieces, Alice Bolander and husband Brad Beecher, and Tracy Weise. In addition to his parents, Wiley was preceded in death by a nephew, Todd Bolander.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, 3322 West End Avenue, Suite 900, Nashville, Tennessee 37203. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Wiley Andrew Bolander.

I am so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed talking with Mr. Wiley and I think about him every time I buy chocolate milk.

So sorry for your loss at this time of year. He was a month older than me but does it seem that long ago we met overseas. Being related to you he must have been one of the good guys.
