Wanda Ruth Logan Powell

Funeral services for Wanda Ruth Logan Powell, age 73 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Monday at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Booneville Cemetery beside her husband R. C. Powell. Mrs. Powell passed away Friday evening at Vanderbilt Hospital.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Festus and Mary Elizabeth Logan. She was a secretary, homemaker and member of the Camargo Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son Paul Powell of Fayetteville, daughter Kathy(Harold) Means of Fayetteville, granddaughter Candy (Chris) Patterson of Fayetteville, great-grandchildren Kyle East, Jacob Patterson, Cody Patterson and special friend Dean Towry.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

Memaw was a wonderful person, and friend. Loved her very much, she will truley be missed. I am sorry for the loss for the family and friends. She is in a place where she can’t hurt no more. God be with all of you.

I was so sad to hear of Mrs. Wanda’s passing, she was such a nice lady. I always enjoyed her company when she came in the bank. I will keep your family in my prayers.
