Violet Joyce McKin

Funeral service for Mrs. Violet Joyce McKin, age 84, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Cemetery, beside her husband, Ernie Lee McKin.

Violet was born on April 1, 1935 in Dellrose, TN to the late George Wesley and Flossie Bell Stanford Hobbs. Mrs. McKin always had a song to hum and sing. She enjoyed singing at home, word search puzzles, going out to eat with her family, and was an awesome Tonk card player. Mrs. McKin loved the Lord, and had given Him her soul to guide and keep. Violet passed away on April 28, 2019 at Donalson Care Center.

Survivors include her son, Jacky Wayne McKin; daughters, Robbie Lee (Bill) Blount, and Donna Joyce (Michael) Decker; grandchildren, Billy Wayne (Pam) McKin, Sherry LeAnne (Chris) Chapman, Sabrina McKin, Leshaun (Dennis) Hanntz, Dana Leigh Stevenson, Coltan (Mariah) Smith, Travis Walkington, and David Walkington; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; a dog named Buttons; and several cats. In addition to her parents and husband, Violet was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Crystal Gail McKin; and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Violet Joyce McKin.

I am saddened to hear the passing of Mrs. Violet. She was always sweet person to care for. I am no longer at Donalson due to my own health issues. I will still miss her. Praying for the family.
