Violet Christine Slayton Taylor

Funeral service for Mrs. Violet Christine Slayton Taylor age 78, of Fayetteville will be conducted Tuesday at 11 AM at Higgins Funeral Home, with Rev Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery beside her husband Mr. V. J. Taylor who passed away in 2004. Mrs Taylor passed away Saturday evening at Donalson Care.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gladys Baker Slayton. Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Central High School class of 1951, worked for Serbin Manufacturing, a homemaker, and was a member of the Molino Baptist Church.

Survivors include son Delwin Taylor and wife Clara of Fayetteville, daughters Sheila Hall and husband Phil of Birmingham, AL, Deborah Ashby and husband David of Fayetteville and Renea Walp and husband Darrell of Kelso. Grandchildren Brian Hall, Brandy Ray, Meredith Taylor, Lana Faulkner, Nicholas Walp, Brittany Ashby, and Ethan Walp, great grandchildren Lane Hall, Landen Ray, Eli Ray, and Riley Faulkner, Mrs Taylor was preceded in death by a sister Audrey Foster, brother Collins B. Slayton and grandchild Eric Ashby.
Visitation with the family will be Monday from 5 PM till 8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

Delwin and Clara and Taylor families,

We are sorry to hear of Mrs. Taylor’s passing. Just to let you know you are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you the strenght to carry on during the hard times ahead. Just remember you can have her as close to you as ever, by placing your hand over your heart and holding onto the memories.

Aunt Christine was a precious angel on this earth. I know she is celebrating with Uncle VJ, Jesus, the angels, and the many family and friends gone before. I look forward to us all celebrating again on the streets of glory. Much love and prayers to all the family. God Bless.
