Treva Colbert

A celebration of life for Treva Loraine Colbert, age 61, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wiser officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Wednesday at Higgins.

Treva was born on March 3, 1962, in Huntland, TN, to the late James T. Kimbrough and Eloise Ann Pogue Kimbrough. She was a member of the Huntland Baptist Church. Mrs. Colbert enjoyed caring for her house plants, trees, and flower beds. She was well known for decorating her home for all holiday’s, her favorite being Christmas. Treva passed away on March 17, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, David Colbert; bonus daughters, Candy Colbert and B’Lisa (Jason) Smith; grandchildren, Gracie, Carter and Ty Smith; sister, Deleace (Cleo) Walden; brother, Chad Kimbrough; niece, Brianna Scott; nephew, Evan Scott; and her beloved fur babies, Lucy and Lacy. In addition to her parents, Treva was preceded in death by her bonus son, Joseph Chance Colbert.

I was so saddened to learn about Treva’s passing! She and my little sister Cyndi Garrison were good friends. Treva was a sweet lady, prayers for her family!
