Funeral services for Mr. Tommy Burnum age 52 of Old Lincoln Road will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor John Neal officiating .Burial will be at the family farm. Mr. Burnum passed away Tuesday evening at his residence.
Mr. Burnum was the son of the late Francis Marion and Faye Michaels Burnum, a native of Columbia, SC, employed with the city of Huntsville as a mechanic, a farmer, a member of the National Draft Horse Association, was known for raising draft horses and mules on a national level, and a member of the Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife Mitzi Sells Burnum, son William Thomas Burnum Jr. and wife Julie, Grandson Lane Thomas Burnum, all of Fayetteville, Brother Jack Burnum and wife Donna, of Huntsville AL, father and mother in-law Brooks and June Sells of Fayetteville, and numerous extended family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Betty Ann Burnum Arnold.
Visitation with the family will be 4-8 PM Friday evening at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Lincoln County FFA Alumni Association, Jimmy McAlister, 110 Highland Rim Rd., Fayetteville, TN 37334.
