Shirley “Pat” Harris

It is with regret that we announce the passing of Shirley “Pat” Harris, age 82, of Fayetteville, TN. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 11 am at Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Higgins.

Pat was born March 24, 1939, in Madison County, AL to the late Alfred Charles and Clara Elizabeth Holder Gentle. She was a machine operator at Serbin and later worked in customer service at Wal Mart. Pat was a member of the Fayetteville Church of God. She passed away December 19, 2021, at Lincoln Medical Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Chuck) Roe of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Nick (Christie) Scott, Justin Henderson, Shannon Henderson; sister, Faye Marshall of Fayetteville; and brother, Charles Gentle of Abbeville, AL. Along with her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Harris; and daughter, Rita Henderson.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

Mrs Shirley was so precious . I worked with her and she always gave us a hug everyday and always had that beautiful smile .

Linda so sorry for the loss of your mother. I worked with her at the shirt plant. She was a dear friend and a really sweet person. I never say her she didn’t speak and always had a smile on her face.

Linda. I just saw your mother about 3 weeks ago in Walmart- she looked so Good that day- and well- shocked to hear she was in hospital- prayers for you and your family and prayers for God’s comfort- a precious lady
