Funeral service for Shirley A. Flynt Gray, age 79 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro Richard McWilliams officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Gray passed away Tuesday in Huntsville Hospital.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Dillard Y. and Leah Ellis Flynt, was a homemaker and a member of the Wells Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years Joe Gray of Fayetteville, daughter Sonya Crabtree of Fayetteville, son Michael (Kim) Gray of Fayetteville, daughter Bridget (John) Cash of Fayetteville, grandchildren Lauren Crabtree (Eddie McDaniel) Mitchell, Lindsey Crabtree (Jason) Morgan, Cara Crabtree (Jeffrey) Groce, Heather Gray, Hannah Gray, Holly Gray, Haley Cash and Hayden Cash, nine great-grandchildren, brother William E. Flynt of Fayetteville, three sisters Joyce Farmer, Doris Harwell and Peggy McAlister all of Fayettevile.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday 11a.m.-2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family of Shirley A. Flynt Gray.

Mr Joe and kids im so sorry to hear of Mrs Shirley passing we have been freinds for along time i will miss her and our little talks before church and our talking football she has touched so many lives and will be greatly missed in christian love Kay

So sorry to learn of Mrs. Shirley’s passing. She was always such a sweet person. I know she was very loved by her wonderful family and she dearly loved all of them in return. Treasure your memories.
