Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Francis “Fannie” Davis, age 91, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 11AM Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her late husband William Floyd Davis. Mrs. Davis passed away Sunday January 3rd at Donalson Care Center.
She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Mary Jane Ayers. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and provided love and support for many children throughout the years by babysitting in her home. She was a member of the Church of God Prophecy.
She is survived by daughters Barbara Swinford and husband Charles, Vickie Hopkins and husband Mike, sons Homer Davis and wife Belinda, Johnny Davis and wife Patricia, Ray Davis and wife Vandie, Nickie Davis and Kathy, brother John Ayers, sister Mary Sue Hardiman all of Fayetteville, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and many friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by two daughters Mary Katherine Kimbrough and Sarah Josephine Davis. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening 5-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
