Sandra Moore Trentham

A life celebration for Sandra Moore Trentham, age 73, of Lynchburg, TN, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Craig Carlisle officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until the time of service on Saturday at Higgins. A private committal service for family will follow the service on Saturday.

Sandy was born on February 15, 1949, in Bulls Gap, TN to the late Charles Rakin and Hazel Virginia Moore Stewart. She was a 1967 graduate of Walled Lake Central High School and worked as a corrections officer/secretary with the Lincoln County Jail. Mrs. Trentham was a member of the Stone Bridge Garden Club, Fayetteville Elks Lodge, the Queen’s Bees, and an honorary member of the F.C.E. Sandy was very talented and enjoyed doing all arts and crafts. She enjoyed rug hooking, making clay pottery, painting, stained glass, woodworking, and quilting. Sandy even painted several murals at schools in Lincoln County. Her favorite pastime was taking Piper for boat rides. Mrs. Trentham passed away on October 16, 2022, at her lake house.

Survivors include her daughters, Alyssa Parsley (Kevin) Hargrave, and Tammie Parsley Cowan; grandchildren, Randal Scott Layman, Jr., William Trent (Bridget) Layman, Aly Marie Hargrave, Peyton Terrell Hargrave, Jacob Craig Hargrave, Kaleigh Hargrave Scott, Michael Keith Adams, and Chloe Rae Cowan; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Ray Layman, Brailey May Hempel-Layman, Addison Grace Scott, and Jaxson Paul Scott; siblings, Hobert Stewart and Sharron Brent; and her beloved pets, Golden Doodle Piper, and Fat Cat Gibs. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Trentham; granddaughter, Emilie Grace Cowan; and grandmother, Mima Kate Stewart.

Words cannot express the loss of this Sweet Lady .Always a smile and a heart of gold.She could make anyday bearable.What time I worked with her at the Sheriffs Dept. Was great.She was helpful and caring.I know all of her Family and extended Sheriffs Dept.

Tammie and Alyssa, I am so sorry and shocked to hear of the passing of sweet Sandy! She was a special person to so many people. To know her was to love her and I did dearly! Love you girls. Prayers for y’all and all the family!

Alyssa and Tammie, I’m so very sorry to hear about the passing of your precious mother.
She was a true angel here on earth and now Heaven has gained her. Always smiling & offering a willing hand. She will be so greatly missed. Sending many prayers and hugs.

I will so miss my sweet and beautiful friend , always so loving, caring & giving. So many good memories of doing craft shows together. I loved watching her bloom into a clay lady . Sandy was one of a kind. So very Special… prayers for the family and other close friends . 😢❤️

My sincere condolences to the family. Sandy was the first friend I made when moving to Fayetteville almost 40 years ago.
She was a very special person. Loved by so many. She will be greatly missed.

I am saddened to learn of Sandy’s passing. I have many memories of our friendship. Sandy was the most talented lady I have ever known. I think she could do anything and do it well.
All of her family is in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time.

Alyssa and Tammie, I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many wonderful memories of all the fun times Sandy and I had together from our trip to the Bahamas to the many craft shows we did together and the fun home visits. I have never met a person I thought more of. She was kind and helpful to everyone and her talents were unlimited. She will be missed by many people. I will always treasure that warm and friendly smile and laugh.
